Morvenn Vahl

High Abbess Sanctorum 路 Adepta Sororitas 路 Heavy ranged burst

Morvenn Vahl is the announced heavy gun platform of the 40K roster. Her Heavy Bolter Fidelis sprays an arc of projectiles, and a miracle can push its rate of fire higher. She is not in the October demo, so this dossier separates the confirmed reveal from the launch speculation.

What Auroch has confirmed

The High Abbess Sanctorum arrives in a Paragon Warsuit and wields the Heavy Bolter Fidelis. The PlayStation.Blog reveal describes an arc of projectiles and a chance to trigger a miracle that blesses Vahl and increases the weapon’s rate of fire. Her evolution, Purgator Mirabilis, unlocks the Paragon Missile Launcher and adds sporadic salvos of explosions.

That is a complete offensive identity on paper: a wide spray for the horde and a missile layer for the moments when the spray is not enough. The missing pieces are the numerical ones — damage, cooldown, miracle chance, evolution passive and unlock route. None has been published.

  • Confirmed weapon: Heavy Bolter Fidelis.
  • Confirmed mechanic: chance to trigger a miracle and increase rate of fire.
  • Confirmed evolution: Purgator Mirabilis with Paragon Missile Launcher.
  • Demo status: not playable in the October demo.

Expected play pattern

The Fidelis is a directional spray, so Vahl should want a lane rather than a surround. Keep the densest part of the horde in the arc and use lateral movement to sweep the stream across the front. The miracle is a bonus window, not a resource to save; when the rate of fire rises, spend it on the thickest group or the boss.

The Paragon Warsuit’s size is not a confirmed mechanical drawback, but large champions often ask for cleaner escape lanes. Until the launch build is playable, the safe assumption is to treat her as a positioning-dependent ranged champion, not a front-line tank.

This section is a launch-planning inference from the confirmed weapon description, not a hands-on verdict. Vahl has not been playable in the October demo.

What to test at launch

First test the miracle uptime. If it triggers often, attack speed and area become the obvious scaling; if it is rare, raw damage and a reliable defensive layer matter more. Second, test whether the missile salvos from Purgator Mirabilis inherit the same upgrades as the bolter spray. Third, test the evolution trigger and the required passive, which are still unpublished.

A sensible first loadout would pair the Fidelis with a close-range defensive tool and one mobility passive. Do not assume the missile evolution removes the need for crowd control around the suit. The current evidence describes extra explosions, not a panic button.

Where she may struggle

Fast melee packs are the obvious risk for a large ranged champion. Flesh Hounds and Bloodcrushers close distance quickly; a directional spray needs time to turn. A close-range area weapon or a reliable dodge pattern should be part of the first launch build.

Against Tyranids, the Fidelis arc should be strong into a clustered brood, but Synapse creatures still need priority damage. Against Orks, Lootas and Weirdboys add ranged pressure that can punish a stationary gun platform. The miracle may win a damage race; positioning still decides whether there is a race at all.

Pre-launch note. This dossier is based on official reveals and the October 2026 demo. Unlock routes, exact damage values and final balance may change before 10 November 2026. Check the update log for newer information.
