Brazier Staff
The Brazier Staff is Ulgromthier’s medium-range magma tool: arcing projectiles, a cone of coverage and a wielder with extra starting health. Its reported evolution is Master of Runes.

Confirmed behaviour
Ulgromthier, an Auric Runemaster, enters battle with a higher health pool and a Brazier Staff firing arcing magma projectiles. The official October demo post frames him as a high-priest who wades aggressively into hordes, which fits a weapon that wants medium range but not a full surround.
The staff’s exact arc, damage and cadence are unpublished. Its practical identity is coverage: the projectiles arc over the front rank, letting the weapon hit groups that are not directly in front of the muzzle. That makes positioning more important than precise aiming.
- Universe: Age of Sigmar.
- Confirmed wielder: Ulgromthier.
- Confirmed behaviour: arcing magma projectiles.
- Confirmed passive: higher starting health pool.
- Reported evolution: Master of Runes.
Liquid Green Stuff and Master of Runes
The October community table pairs the Brazier Staff with Liquid Green Stuff and lists Master of Runes. Auroch has not officially documented the result or the passive. Liquid Green Stuff also appears in the 40K Whirlwind Battery line, so it may be a shared companion.
The reported trigger is a maxed weapon plus boss chest. Treat the entire line as a demo-era lead. The base staff is official; the evolution is not.
Evidence level: Brazier Staff and Ulgromthier’s health pool are official. Liquid Green Stuff → Master of Runes is community-reported.
How to use it
Hold the middle distance and keep the staff’s arc on the thickest group. The extra health is a buffer for one mistake, not a reason to stand in poison fog or a Bloodcrusher charge. Step sideways to keep the cone on the horde and leave one lane open behind you.
If the pack closes, move first and attack second. The arcing projectiles still hit while you retreat, so a controlled step back can deal damage and create space at the same time. Do not wait until you are surrounded to test whether the staff can clear its way out.
- Fight at medium range, not inside the pack.
- Keep the cone on the densest group.
- Take movement speed before a second damage stat when the ring tightens.
- Do not spend the health buffer on stationary tanking.
Build and users
Ulgromthier is the confirmed user. The Ulgromthier dossier covers the survival playstyle, and the Brazier Bulwark build gives the demo priority order. The stage guide explains where the medium-range pattern struggles most.
Pre-launch note. Values and evolution triggers can change before 10 November 2026. Community pairings are labelled and should be verified in the launch build. See the update log for newer information.
